The NFL Draft is back and it’s been a crazy last couple of weeks. The top two picks have been traded away by their respected teams, and they both got a fortune for the picks. The Tennessee Titans traded their #1 pick along with picks in the fourth and sixth round to the L.A. Rams for their 1st rounder this year (#15) 2 2nd rounders this year (picks #43 and #45), their 3rd round this year and their first and third round picks next year. The Titans will have six of the first 76 picks in this year’s draft which is absolutely crazy to think about.

The Cleveland Browns also dropped out of their #2 spot by trading it away to the Philadelphia Eagles and dropping down to their #8 spot this year. The Browns acquired the Eagles #8 pick, their third and fourth rounders this year, their first round pick next year and their second round pick in 2018. The Eagles got the Browns #2 pick and their 2017 fourth round pick. When you are trying to completely rebuild a team like the Browns are this year, it makes sense for them to trade down. They have just signed Robert Griffin III to a contract and since they don’t need a quarterback this year, or so they hope, it made sense to trade down and collect some picks.

There are a lot of great players this year that are worthy of first round picks in this draft. The defensive side of the ball will be prevalent in the first round with the amount of quarterbacks taken could be anywhere up to five this year. Jared Goff of Cal and Carson Wentz of North Dakota State will be the top two picks, with potentially up to three others. Check out the first round Thursday night at 8PM on ESPN.
